Albert Cone (1832-1905) was born in East Broomfield, New York, and died
            in Greenfield, Indiana. In 1867 he was ordained as a Methodist Episcopal preacher,
            spending his career preaching at churches in the North Indiana Conference. Later he was
            ordained deacon (1871) and then elder (1873). In 1886, while living in Tipton, Indiana,
            he became interested in Christian Science, ordering copies of 
Science
              of Health with Key to the Scriptures and giving talks on Christian
            Science.
