Emma Cole (1845-1926) was born in Ohio and died in Branch, Michigan. She married Julius M. Cole, a traveling salesman, in Bethel, Michigan, in 1869 and they lived in Coldwater, Michigan. In 1880, they were living in Chicago, Illinois. In 1886, her husband visited Mary M. W. Adams, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's in Chicago, for Christian Science treatment. After he passed away in 1897, she married Andrew J. Hawes in Coldwater in 1904. Based on the records available, we have found no further information concerning her involvement with Christian Science.
