George E. Clayton (1851-1901) was born in Strong, Maine, and died in Everett, Massachusetts. He worked as a merchant tailor and married Linnie V. Morton in Charlestown, Massachusetts, in 1872. There is no record of Clayton studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
