Ellen B. Chase (1838-1904) was a lifelong resident of Santuit Village in Barnstable, Massachusetts. She was a student of Mary W. Munroe's, who studied with Mary Baker Eddy. She joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, on April 1, 1893, and was a member until her passing. There is no record of Chase studying with Eddy.
