Nellie M. Cate (1845-1930) was born in Bow, New Hampshire, and died in
Manchester, New Hampshire. Cate was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her in
February 1884. She joined the Christian Scientist Association on March 18, 1884, and
after a long absence from Association meetings, she was "self-suspended" on July 3,
1889. There is no record of her uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
