Annie E. Carr (1842-1921) was born in Haverhill, New Hampshire, and died in Morristown, New Jersey. For many years she worked as a school teacher in the public schools of Newbury and St. Johnsbury, Vermont. She wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in late 1884, expressing her interest in receiving Christian Science treatment through prayer.
