Roscoe H. Cain (c.1838-1890) was born in Brooklin, Maine, and died in Sedgwick, Maine. He was a master mariner who sailed in the waters off Downeast Maine. He became interested in Christian Science after reading Science and Health with Key to Scriptures, and in 1885, wrote to Mary Baker Eddy, asking for information on Christian Science treatment through prayer.
