Frances S. Burrows (b. Peck) (1844-1916) was born in Richland, Michigan, and died in Pasadena, California. She graduated from Rockford College, in Rockford, Illinois, in 1864, and married Julius C. Burrows in Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 1865. He was elected to the United States congress in 1872 and served until 1894, when he was elected to the United States senate where he served until 1911. Frances S. Burrows was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, serving as its First State Regent and Vice-President General and also as President of the D.A.R. Children's Society. She was a friend of Laura V. Lathrop, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. In April 1899, Burrows's husband introduced Edward A. Kimball, also a student of Eddy's and a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, when Kimball lectured in Kalamazoo. Burrows passed away while visiting relatives in Pasadena.
