Enoch Fitch Burr (1818-1907) was born in Westport, Connecticut, and died in Lyme, Connecticut. He was a Congregational minister, astronomer, and mathematician who is noted for his lectures on the relationship between science and religion. He lectured on this topic at Amherst College, Yale, and Williams College, among others.
