Margaret C. Burgess (1842-1912) was born in Concord, Massachusetts, and
died in Chicago, Illinois. She married William T. Burgess, a lawyer, in 1867. Burgess
was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the Primary class (August 1886),
Obstetrics class (October 1888), and Normal class (May 1889). She was a member of the
Christian Scientist Association, as well as the National Christian Scientist
Association. She joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts,
on January 6, 1894. Burgess worked as a Christian Science practitioner in
Chicago.
