Cyrus J. Brownell (1838-1893) was born in Milford, New York, and died in Rochester, New York. He worked as a druggist and married Delinda E. Stocking in 1860. Although his wife was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, there is no record of Brownell studying with Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
