George H. Bradford (1835-1915) was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and
died in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He was a wealthy dry goods merchant who owned Bradford
& Co. in Boston. His interest in Christian Science began in 1885 and he completed
the Primary class with Mary Baker Eddy in March 1886. He joined the Christian Scientist
Association in May 1886 and was an active member until he withdrew in June 1888 over the
Association's response to the Abby Corner court case.
