Katharine Blythe (c.1852-1926) was born in California and died in Los
Gatos, California. She was a pioneer school teacher in San Jose, California, serving for
many years as principal of the First Ward School. In September 1885, she wrote to Mary
Baker Eddy to ask for information about studying Christian Science. Blythe's interest in
Christian Science appears to have been brief and there is no record of her taking
            Primary class.
