George H. Blood (1826-1897) was born in Temple, New Hampshire, and died
in Wilton, New Hampshire. He served as a Private in Company B of the New Hampshire 5th
Regiment Infantry during the American Civil War. Blood worked as a farmer and married
Helen M. Burton in Lyndeborough, New Hampshire, in 1854. Although Helen was a student of
Mary Baker Eddy's, there is no record of Blood studying with Eddy.
