Caroline "Carrie" M. Blewett (b. Van Anda) (1849-1927) was born in Chesterville, Ohio, and died in Los Angeles, California. In 1870 she married Englishman Edward Blewett, a livestock dealer, in Fremont, Nebraska, who also owned the companies Oregon Horse & Land, Blewett Gold Mining Company, and Van Anda Copper & Gold Mining Company. Blewett was active in the Temperance movement in Nebraska and her involvement continued after the couple moved to Los Angeles around 1910. Blewett wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886 to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.
