John A. Blackwood (1867-1931) was born in Nashua, New Hampshire, and died
in Concord, New Hampshire. He served as alderman under Nathaniel E. Martin, mayor of
Concord, in 1899 and 1900. He was educated at Dartmouth College, worked for his family's
plumbing supplies manufacturing business, and was a councilman in Concord. Blackwood
served in the New Hampshire state senate in 1913-1914. He married Bertha M. Blackwood
(b. Watson) in 1930.
