Julia D. Bissell (1844-1904) was born in New York, New York, and died in Colorado. She married Julius B. Bissell, a lawyer, in New York in 1866. They moved to Des Moines, Iowa, in the early 1870s and then to Leadville, Colorado, in 1879. Bissell wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886 to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. Based on the records available, we have found no further information concerning her involvement with Christian Science.
