Katherine Bigler (b. Heusi) (1857-1935) was born in Indiana and died in Denver, Colorado. She married Gottlieb Bigler, a rug maker, in 1880. She first learned of Christian Science from a newspaper article in 1885, and in 1886 she was healed through Christian Science treatment. She studied Christian Science in Denver with Minnie B. Hall De Soto, a student of Mary Baker Eddy's. Bigler joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts, on April 4, 1896, and her daughter Clara E. Bigler joined on June 11, 1901.
