Clara Ester "Estie" Bear (b. Baer) (1866-1950) was born and died in Pennsylvania. She worked at a hospital. Bear wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1886 to order a copy of Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. She studied Christian Science with Erastus N. Bates and wanted to study with Eddy, but does not appear to have done so. She belonged to First Church of Christ, Scientist, Erie, Pennsylvania, and then, in December 1894, she also joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
