Louise Bauer (1859-1895) was born in Columbus, Ohio, and died in Columbus, Nebraska. She married Dr. Tracy R. Clark in 1893 and died a few days after the stillbirth of their son. Her sister, Emma E. Bauer, wrote to Mary Baker Eddy in 1885, asking for advice on Christian Science treatment through prayer for a local woman. There is no record of Bauer studying with Eddy or joining The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts.
