S. S. (Susan Simonds) Barnard (1829-1920) was born and died in Woburn, Massachusetts. She first married Cyrus Munroe in 1862 and then Dr. Ignatius Sargent in 1884. Although she expressed an interest in studying Christian Science, there is no record of her studying with Mary Baker Eddy or uniting with the Church of Christ (Scientist).
