Henry L. Bancroft (1852-1890) was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying with her free of charge in August 1875. He was the younger brother of one of Eddy's early students, Samuel P. Bancroft. In March 1878, despite studying with Eddy, Henry was only made an honorary member of the Christian Scientist Association. Henry united with the Church of Christ (Scientist) in 1879 and attended services until about 1882.
