Henry W. Baker (1824-1863) was born in Loudon, New Hampshire, and died in battle at Fort Wagner in Charleston, South Carolina. He worked as a farmer. Baker served as a 2nd Lieutenant in Company E of the New Hampshire 7th Regiment Infantry during the American Civil War. He was Mary Baker Eddy's cousin; his father, Joseph Baker, was Eddy's uncle.
