Joseph H. Baily (1834-1887) was born and died in Wilmington, Delaware. He served in the Navy on the steamer Tullahoma, then worked for the Wilmington Malleable Iron Company, becoming president by 1888. In 1886, he wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. He said he had been receiving healing treatment from Mrs. Seal.
