Oliver Ayer (1810-1899) was a Baptist clergyman who was born in Plaistow,
New Hampshire, and died in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. He graduated from Brown University
in 1834. In 1837, he was ordained as a Baptist minister, accepting the pastorate of
First Baptist Church, Littleton, Massachusetts. At the time Asa G. Eddy wrote to him, he
was the pastor of First Baptist Church, North Oxford, Massachusetts.
