David Austin (1810-1883) was a lifelong resident of Lynn, Massachusetts. He was a well-known citizen of Lynn, serving on the city council and school board for several years during the 1870s. He worked as a real estate agent and collected rent on 439 Boston Street, Lynn, a property owned by Mary Baker Eddy.
