Harriet C. Atkinson (1829-1891) was born in Bradford, Maine, and died in Newburyport, Massachusetts. She was the wife of Benjamin F. Atkinson (1822-1897) and the mother of Adelma S. Atkinson (1853-1912). Harriet was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, studying alongside her husband in February 1877. She withdrew her membership from the Christian Scientist Association along with her daughter and husband on May 26, 1880.
