Elizabeth M. H. Ashton (1839-1920) was born in Rochester, New York, and
died in Binghamton, New York. She worked as a seamstress and married Edward Ashton in
Manchester, New Hampshire, in 1858. Ashton was a student of Ellen E. Cross in 1886
before becoming a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the Normal class in October
1887. She was a member of the Christian Scientist Association. Based on the records
available, we have found no further information concerning Ashton's involvement with
Christian Science.
