P00276 Mary M. W. Adams (c.1834-1909) was born in Claremont, New Hampshire, and
died in Chicago, Illinois. She was a student of Mary Baker Eddy's, completing the
Primary (1885), Normal (1886), and Obstetrics (1887) classes. She joined the Christian
Scientist Association in October 1885 and joined The First Church of Christ, Scientist,
in October 1892. In November 1886, she chartered the Union Park Institute of Christian
Science, Chicago, where she taught alongside Elizabeth Webster, also a student of
Eddy's. Adams was listed as a Christian Science practitioner and teacher in the
directory of
The Christian Science Journal and served until her
passing.
