Hannah A. Acheson (b. Lewis) (1838-1925) was born in Providence, Rhode Island, and died in Fort Myers, Florida. By 1849 she had moved with her family to Wheaton, Illinois, and by the mid-1870s to Chicago, Illinois, where she married Guy W. Acheson in 1876. He was an office clerk. Acheson was the older sister of Clara A. Beecher (b. Lewis) and the aunt of Isabella A. Beecher, both of whom were students of Mary Baker Eddy's. Acheson and her husband lived with Clara and Isabella in Chicago, along with her mother, Hannah Lewis (b. Farnham), and sister Helen A. Lewis. Around 1913 Acheson moved from Chicago to Florida, where she remained for the rest of her life.
