Cornelius F. Abbott (1828-1894) was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and
died in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a chemist and wholesale tobacconist. He married
Matilda A. Abbott (b. Price). Abbott began studying Christian Science in the mid-1880s
and in 1886 wrote to Mary Baker Eddy to order
