Celestia A. Abbey (1844-1920) was born and died in Watkins Glen, New York. In 1885, after seeing an advertisement for Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, her husband, Harvey S. Abbey, wrote to Mary Baker Eddy, asking for information about Christian Science treatment through prayer for Celestia and her mother.
