Thomas C. Oliver, an artist based in Lynn, Massachusetts, painted this autumn landscape for Eddy. Oliver studied with Eddy in 1870, and he gifted the painting to her in December 1870, along with other gifts from the same class of Eddy's students. The title of the painting is "Autumn Landscape." The painting was mentioned in a December 31, 1870 article by Eddy, then Glover, in the Lynn Semi-Weekly Reporter, "A View of the New Hampshire hills." The painting hung in Eddy's homes at Pleasant View and Chestnut Hill. This painting is now in the collections of the Longyear Museum.
