A few weeks ago I telegraphed to a student as I did to youEditorial Note: These telegrams are not extant. giving no reason only "to come"; she came, and I did for her what she esteems worth more than millions of money.

I had an offer to make you that is beyond price, that was, to become my assistant Teacher. Now that I have told you what I want you for will you come as soon as your class closes?

Your Affectionate waiting working hoping disappointed Leader

Yesterday a Countess and daughter from London made me the second call is deeply interested

My classes number about forty and I could take them every month; still I am alone – without help and shall give up all unless I have it soon
