I regret to learn that Mr. A. J. Swarts of Chicago is publishing a circularEditorial Note: See 579.59.008 in which he states “that he is teaching Metaphysics or the science of mind-cure as taught at the Mass. Metaphysical College, that he understands the system thoroughly as taught by Mrs. Eddy of Boston and has passed through a course of instructions by her” etc, etc.

Mr. Swarts has never even entered my College in Boston. When at Chicago last May, by urgent request I consented to have him and his wife visit my class a few times. My work “Science and Health”Editorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. he has read with the privilege As Written: privelege that all have of understanding what they can of it without my instructions. But when I saw Mr Swarts for the first & last time in the spring he was very far from having sufficient understanding of it to teach the science of Metaphysical Healing.
