Dear Sir,

I have concluded to accept your own terms those in a letter of yoursEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. in which you say I desire to learn this more than any thing and if I study it should prefer to study it with you.

To meet that desire I write you to come to my class that opens on Monday next the 20th at 10 1/2 A.M. You and your wife, and I will teach you for just what you please to pay me, be it more or less and it shall cost you no more than it would to join the class of Mr. Hammond that I learn he is getting up for himself in MarlboroEditorial Note: Marlboro, Massachusetts and vicinity. Mr. Hammond has not been fitted by me for a teacher, and I as his teacher, know he is not qualified to take students in metaphysics who have your present understanding; neither did I expect he was attempting it as he assured me quite recently that he did not wish to teach and should not attempt it at present. Hoping you will see what is for your best interest and I shall see you and your wife here tomorrow

I remain Very truly
