You mistake the facts by supposing that it has, I will give again my directions as plain as ink can make them and then will wait your answer before I shall consent to endorse what I cannot approve or shall venture to endorse what is not proven right by the working of your school

1st The name is improper, as not one of the faculty have graduated yet at my College, but as I have said it was forced upon us and this I accept only as from two evils choosing As Written: Chosing the least

2 There must be a building rented on purpose for this School where it shall be located and permanently. in a popular part of the City

3 The full number shall be three for your faculty. The President take the general supervision of the school. One Professor shall be teacher in the primary department the other, of the more advanced Course and this done by selecting pupils according to their abilities in each department It shall be stated in the Circular that your College does not teach all the branches of the Alma Mater – This to be strictly in justice to the people and the ability of the ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science If the above is complied with the school will be a benefit to our CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science. otherwise I can see no prospect of its being so. To put forth a claim beyond your ability to meet must be disastrousAs Written:disasterous To have alternate Teachers of the same grade is without precedent and has no educational advantages, but contrariwise.

To meet from place to place for the establishment of an Institute is purely impossible and absolutely ridiculous

If my directions are deemed worthy your attention and carried out then I will endorse your school. But here is a proviso. You must look at my items on Teaching in Science and HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and see that each teacher complies with the rules therein laid down

Now dear Student I write this only from a Mother's desire to see the respectability and prosperity of her children Do not ask me to select the teachers for this I refuse to do having before planned As Written: planed and each time my plan just changed enough to spoil it, please this time consider this letter final

Do not break up your School but put it forward aright

Very truly
