To which I have only to add– I did not know your family circumstances before and will now add that I had rather wait for half your tuition and that is $100Editorial Note: $100.00 in 1886 is the equivalent of $3,241.51 in 2023.. than to have you sacrificeAs Written:sacrafice a homestead

Miss P.'s bad character is well known to some people at least and Mrs. Hopkins is far from being a Christian or capable of teaching Christian Science I deeply regret to be obliged to expose either of them. I gave Mrs Hopkins every cent of her tuition and receipted to her in full to spar[*]Gap: letter.Reason: page rip. her sense of indebtedness. She told me sad things of her home and husband so I helped her to clothes and gave her a situation on my Magazi[*]Gap: letters.Reason: page rip. because she could not heal But I did not then know her hidden wickedness was the cause
