My dear Student,

YoursEditorial Note: This letter is not extant. at hand I am rejoiced at the success you reported and my heart seeks your interest more than my own.

Your reference to Mr. Frye was unchristian, because you judged him wrongfully and have incurred As Written: incured the penalty of that scripture To judge not lest you be judgedMatt 7:1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. Matt 7:2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Your judgment As Written: judgement has brought out mine. I submit silently to having students for whom I procure places of distinction not only doubt my Authority when I call upon them to act according to it, but to influence others to oppose it. Is not this an insult to me and far beyond the one of which you spoke, and O how much more it has injured the CauseEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science.; and of how much more weight is my judgment As Written: judgement than others in all things pertaining to the Cause

Be careful in chasing all your leaders and establish an Institute of Christian Science in ChicagoEditorial Note: Mary Baker Eddy had been writing to a number of her students at this time, asking them to establish “Institutes” in their communities for the purpose of teaching Christian Science. as soon as possible but get an educated Teacher for it

Lovingly as ever
