My dear Student

Your generous donation to the Church I thank you for because of the good it does and more than all, the good it indicates in you. Shall name it in next Mag. if you have no objection Your noble work for the poor little Mag. so alone in the world I fully appreciate as do all my students who have the proper interest They also value the church help very much Shall you not join my Church in the Winter I hope so Also try to get Roger Sherman and all others you can to do so

Now dear I do not know what you meant about my advancing Dr Avery beyond other members of my class. I have already refused to take him through my Normal Course unless he gives up drugs. I shall not advance him beyond his place already As Written: alredy taken until then. You will come out right. You had much to meet and master and I knew it when I sent for you to join my class but I had faith in your doing it

Lovingly yours
