My dearest Student,

For your generous gift I can only say my heart acknowledges it and words cannot. I will use the check for the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science.

The Bird's Song is sweet sad, cheering. a pretty offering. Was it not quite curious that Mrs. Crosse should have sent me the same thing on the same day? Did your thoughts meet and come to a focus of friendship on the same person at Boston? I have mailed to you a little offering please tell me if it reaches you safely

Now go steadily on with your teaching, you can do great good by it; but take my advice, require your students to pay for such a priceless gem I have found it does better for them, for you, and for the causeEditorial Note: The cause of Christian Science.. I had four clergymen in my last class, three of them have resigned their pastorates since then and are going to preach the gospel of healing. Rev. Mr. Day of Oak Park IllinoisAs Written:Ills. was one of them. He is a learned man and would like to organize a Church in ChicagoEditorial Note: Chicago, Illinois. would it not be a good thing? He does not seem very smart, but I am told that in the pulpit he is eloquent. I cannot tell how this is not having heard him. I would like you to talk with Mrs. Bell on this and give her my love.

Now darling, go on with teaching get all the students you can, and as soon as you have 20 then you send five delegates to the National C. S. A. You can organize a Student's C. S. A.Editorial Note: By this time, Christian Science teachers had begun organizing Christian Scientist Associations made up of their own students. with seven members I believe, Now get ready to send delegates and come with them by the next Convention in Oct. the 2nd Wed.

Lovingly yours
