Mrs. Woodbury,
Dear Student:

Will you not take my advice once and abide by your word with me. I asked for the sake of Christianity that this picking quarrels cease. Now you promised me you would write no more, and the next thing is this late attack upon those unattacking.

I do not approve of it and it is against my will. I corrected it in print but told Mr. Frye to tell you not to publish it.
