Jesus said there was not a greater born of woman than John the Baptist and yet the least in the Kingdom of Heaven was greater than heMatt 11:11 Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. The words of the prophet yea more than prophetMatt 11:9 But what went ye out for to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet. were true however contradictory they might appear Why? Because the ideas they conveyed were not learned of man of the Schools of the five personal senses He talked Truth loved it and lived it therefore his words were inspired of God and his teachings were revelations the divine PrincipleAs Written:Princple Truth Life Love. This then settles the question of their veracity authenticity and rightful authority to be received by us without cavil & to rule our lives Addressing his students he said the Kingdom of Heaven is within youLuke 17:20 ¶And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. Thence it followsAs Written:follws that the pious BaptistEditorial Note: John the Baptist was less than what he within his present possibilities to be even within the power of mortals born of woman within the possibilities that human knowledge conferred knowledge obtained from the 5 personal sense from books study observation reason and the schools could bestow Does it not then greatly behoove us to know what this attainment was the least whereof was greater than all else even those acquirements for which mortals strive & give money without stint and all their lives are in pursuitAs Written:persuit thereof Even I can tell you dear friends what the secret of this treasure above all price was, and is. It is the secret place of the Most HighPs 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. spoken of in the Psalter by David the Hebrew bard But what is this secret place? Again I can answer on the basis and authority of revelation inspiration and the teachings of the Great MasterEditorial Note: Jesus Christ It is the spiritual idea of God and the universe wherein man and all that God created and all that He reveals and inspires is found and found to be be spiritual and not material I know this is true for Christ Jesus as representative of the Father that is of Spirit and not matter plainly declared it He said call no man Father for one is your father even GodMatt 23:9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. This was his protest against man being material and a declaration that man and all that God Spirit evolves are spiritual Also the scientific record of creation in Genesis shows it and declares it in these words God made all and it was goodGen 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. . We all admit that Good or goodness is spiritual and not materialAs Written:materieal Again the Scripture reads He made man in His own image and likenessGen 1:26 ¶And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. this therefore is spiritual and not material and we have no history of matter or of a material creation till the history of error as the opposite of Truth was recorded and sin and death as its concomitants Now the Scripture reads God is SpiritJohn 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. and God is infinite and we ask can the InfiniteAs Written:Infite have an opposite? come with me to the revelation that Jesus gave in proof that the secret of God is learned spiritually and is no secret in Divine Science wherein all that is real is eternal and to be eternal it must be spiritual [?] Unclear or illegible
Again note the consistency of Jesus's As Written: Jesus statements when he reiterated this mighty truth when answering the Rabbi's As Written: Rabis question Love God with all thy heart soulAs Written:sooul and mindMatt 22:34 ¶But when the Pharisees had heard that he had put the Sadducees to silence, they were gathered together. Matt 22:35 Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, Matt 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Matt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. which interpreted in the spiritual tongue means Thou shalt have no other gods before meEx 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. and love thy negbor as thyselfMatt 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. as thyself This takes in the First commandmentAs Written:comandmnt give all thy affections thy immortal As Written: inmortal powers and consciousness to God to Spirit which must meanAs Written:meam give no consciousness to matter and give no affection thereto in other words thou shalt have no love material things nor hold any partnership therewith
Again Genesis not only affirms this necessity in the First Comandmet of the Hebrew DecalogueEx 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. but gives a vivid account of God's curseGen 3:14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen 3:16 Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. Gen 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Gen 3:18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; Gen 3:19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. on all other than his spiritual modes and forms of beingAs Written:bing Jesus said that on these two commands hangs hung all the law and prophets, rested all divine law and human wisdom and weal Note how Obedience to these divine requirements destroys all power to sin or to depart from the spiritual standpoint of mans being and action as made by Spirit and not from dustGen 2:7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. the material basis for life and mind Loving one's neighbor as oneself removes all possible selfishness and shows that man has no enemiesMatt 5:43 ¶Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. Matt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Matt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. Luke 6:27 ¶But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Luke 6:28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. to love since neighbor is defined As Written: defind most friendly This grace of Spirit is the secret place which verifies and brings into man'sAs Written:mans present experience what David sang in the 91st PsalmPs 91:1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. and what Jesus lauded as the Kingdom of Heaven within youLuke 17:20 ¶And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation: Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. All brought about by the spiritualization of thought and the scientific understanding that all is Spirit, Mind, and there is no matter
