Dear Mrs. Eddy:

Your pamphlet on "Mind Healing," was received by me, and I claim much good from reading it.

Will you send me, "Christian Healing"?

Enclosed is the price, for which you advertise to sell it. I am gaining from reading your books and have a few congenial friends on the subjectAs Written:subj. near me.

I am told that I do not need medicineAs Written:med., which opinion I hold most firmly.

I labor under peculiar disadvant ages, my husband a physician in a large city, and, myself with mental debility, lacerated ossi well-about everything- the least of which is not "muscular atrophy"- That is what they say. I am constantly improving "With God all things are possible."Matt 19:16 ¶And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? Matt 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Matt 19:18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Matt 19:19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Matt 19:20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet? Matt 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me. Matt 19:22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions. Matt 19:23 ¶Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matt 19:24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Matt 19:25 When his disciples heard it, they were exceedingly amazed, saying, Who then can be saved? Matt 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

Some of my friends know how nicely I am getting on with the insight I have received from your books. One of your followers, Mrs Perry of 22, Yarmouth St. has done much to show me the priceless value of your belief. It is perfectly beautiful to me, and my only desire is to get its full meaning – not to get well by it, but to understand my bible "in Spirit & in Truth."John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

Excuse me if I have taken too much of your time in requiring you to read so long a letter.

Very gratefully yoursAs Written:yrs.
