Dear Brother

You are surprised are you not to learn that I am in New HampshireAs Written:N. H.? After I left the College that day I felt that I ought to go back and-- tell Mrs. Eddy that I really could-- not go to New YorkAs Written:N. Y. then or now for my word was and had been pledged As Written: plegged for some time that I would come here and when I remembered how severe I myself am with one whose word amounts to nothing; I said in my heart I cannot go now.

I believe Mrs. Eddy will forgive me when she thinks what the feeling would have been towards As Written: towrds me.

Please say to my dearest of teachers; that I am sorry to go in opposition to her directions; but my word has always been good if I could in any way keep it. I am doing all I can in the way of selling the booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and journal; and getting students for Mrs. Eddy. I will teach no one who will go to her. Give my best love to her and ask her to please forgive me.

I will send money to pay for four booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy and to pay for the one I got of you; and if you think it best put in all you please and I will sell them.

I tell them they have got to have them.

Please send the booksEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy as soon as you can.

Yours in Truth
H. D. Jones.
