I received As Written: recieved a Pamphlet, some days ago As Written: a go which I have decided to send to you- with the thought­ that Perhaps it might- be of use to Mrs Eddy- in arming her against As Written: a gainst the foe- of course I don'tAs Written:dont know that it will be of any use. but if it would be I should feel I had neglected a duty I owe Mrs Eddy & ourselves I have Suffered Severely from this claim of a Power beside god in belief & don'tAs Written:dont Seem to get the understanding how to help a myselfAs Written:my self- I don'tAs Written:dont see how they dare Send this to me or any one of us- & Should like to know if all the rest of the students of mrs Eddy– had been So unpleasantly remembered, the opposing Power is very Strong here & very little can be done on that account- & I don't As Written: dont know but I shall be o bliged to leave here yet because of it. for I am alone As Written: a lone as you might say-

I am with much love & good wishes to mrs Eddy- & yourself As Written: your Self very truly–

PS- if you could- conveniently I wish you would inform me i f there are any of Mrs Eddy's students in Grand Rapids MichiganAs Written:Mich– there are Some there Claiming to be I don't As Written: dont know their Names– also Please ask Mrs Eddy if she would make any reduction in the Price of studying with her to a minister's As Written: ministers Widow & the mother of ministers- who is very anxious to study with mrs E- & cannot As Written: can not afford to at the terms asked- She has read m y Book- Science & HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy- & is clear carried away As Written: a way with it- She is an old Lady & a leader here in all good work very Intelligent well read & and most lovely woman– far in a dvance of her church the Presbyterian'- & it would make quite a stir if she should come out for ScienceEditorial Note: Christian Science as her son-in-law As Written: Son in law also a Poor man- with whom she lives- is a Presbyterian minister. I ask this because she– requested me to- for her. what I Said about As Written: a bout her I said of my own knowledge she is beloved by all who know her & revered & looked up to by all & seems & is filled with the spirit more so than any I know in her church.
