I was somewhat taken back and very much hurt when Mrs Eddy told me, she had changed her mind about taking Miss Mellen in her class. Three months ago she promised me faithfully she would take her. Of course I told her (Miss Mellen) at the time and she has been waiting patiently for the class to open. It places me in a very bad position as this will be the second refusal.

I hope either you or Mrs Eddy will write and explain it to the Lady. It will probably leave a better impression on her.

I wish you could prevail on Mrs Eddy to take her. I don't As Written: dont think she would regret it. Drop me a line. Please.
