Dear Madam.

Will you oblige by sending to the subjoined address, your book, entitled Science & HealthEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. Enclosed find Order for the price — $3.17 — three dollars, and seventeen centsEditorial Note: $3.17 in 1885 is the equivalent of $83.55 in 2019. for postage.

Have only lately heard of the subject, and read something about it in the Christian Science Journal and elsewhere and am greatly interested in it; so much so that if I were younger my endeavour would be to be one of your students and try to learn and practice it.

But I am about fifty five,— is not that too old? — have good health except occasional nervous headaches— and just an ordinary education, with great desire to know more. Please tell me what you think, and how long time is required to study under your tuition. Do students from a distance find rooms and board connected with the College, or is it easy to find such on terms to suit people of very moderate means?

And do you think such as I could learn the Christian Science so as to be able at the same time to do much good to others and make a fair living?

Is there much other expense besides tuition and board, such as many books et ceteraAs Written:&c?

If it is not trespassing unduly on your valuable time an answer to these enquiries will be much esteemed by,
