I want to ask you if you can help me. Miss S. E. Bradshaw of San JoseEditorial Note: San Jose, California, whom I travelled East with from California told me a good deal about the Mind cure, & said that physicians could heal from a distance. She sent me some pamphlets a short time ago which further enlightened me. Oh! if you could only cure me I should be so happy, & would repay you as well as I could. I am hard of hearing & have been for the last fourteen years. It was caused by measles we think. I have had a great deal done for it, but all to no purpose, the aurists have all given me up. They have all made the same diagnosis, that the cause of my deafness is a hardening of the bones of the ear, so that they vibrate as one instead of three. And they all agree that nothing can be done for me, that it is incurable but that I shall probably grow no worse. Now. can you - will you help me?
This infirmity stands so in the way of my doing anything for myself. I have always wanted to be a trained nurse, if this were removed I should have no difficulty in being admitted to a School, for I have every other qualification necessary. And if you can cure me, I can soon be in a position to repay you. I have prayed oh! so earnestly that God would remove this from me, if it were His Will. I know that if ChristEditorial Note: Jesus Christ were here on earth now he would not turn me away. Please say there is hope for me -
