As I am not strong enough to fill the position you spoke of, I suppose I must wait till next summer before I can learn to heal, and perhaps longer. But there are some more questions yet that I would like to ask. Do you require payment always in advance, both for tuition and for healing? Do you heal persons at a distance, and what do you charge a treatment? I think I should feel more confidence in your being able to effect a cure than any of your students. My mother is not well nor has been for years, if you can make her strong: produce harmony out of discord, so that her path through life will be one of sunshine instead of shadow. You will have my heartfelt gratitude. She is somewhat of an unbeliever in your system of healing, says “I am running after a bubble.”

And if she can regain her health through your instrumentality, and live to a ripe old age. she will surely have convincing proof of your power to heal, and be more willing for me to spend time and money in the accomplishment of my desire.

She has dyspepsia, liver-complaint, constipation a weak back, and I think some female weakness. (she says there is a sore spot over her liver.) she is chilly in cold weather, and has to tie her head up in a cloud if she goes out of doors, is troubled sometimes with palpitation, and is very nervous.

Please tell me what you think of her case, and if you can surely cure her, for I do not want to pay out money if she cannotAs Written:can not be cured.

I asked if you require pay in advance for I only get my pay once a month.

In regard to the bookEditorial Note: Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy., I intend to get both volumes, but would prefer one at a time if you have no objections for I presume it would take me a long time to thoroughlyAs Written:thouroughly comprehend all that one book contains, and by that time I could afford the other.

I asked for some sample copies of the “Journal of Christian Science” but guess you forgot to send them.

How many hours a day do you teach in the College?

Hoping to receive a reply as soon as convenient I remain as ever

Very Respectfully Yours.
S.D. Weeks.
